Tripsitter was formed in 2003 by southern California native brothers Jon and Jeff Celentano in their newly adopted home of Las Vegas. The band released their self-titled debut EP later that year and quickly garnered critical praise. Comparisons to the Beach Boys, Beatles, Queen and Ben Folds Five were common among fans and critics. The group took their five-part harmonies and quirky, well crafted songs to live audiences.
Tripsitter was invited to perform at the Beach Boys Landmark ceremony in Hawthorne, CA in the spring of 2005, playing in front of founding members Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks. That same year, the band ’s second CD California Son was released, presenting more diverse sounding songs than the debut EP. In September 2006, the band signed with independent label SideBMusic to promote the California Son CD. Since signing, the album has received airplay on half a dozen radio stations throughout the U.S. Tripsitter is currently dividing their time between live performances and studio sessions and writing songs for their next CD. |
